Duties:

Duties:

  • Assemble wood and/or steel construction components in a productive and accurate manner
  • Read and interpret basic measurements to measure, mark, cut to specifications using hand tools, machines, or power saws

  • Install or fabricate metal pieces into columns, girders, or other structural frameworks
  • Read and interpret basic measurements to measure and cut metal parts to exact specifications

Duties:

  • Assist in completing tasks in the area of carpentry, masonry, or concrete

Requirements:

  • Must be able or willing to learn to operate a forklift
  • May need to do many different tasks in a day
  • Will need to work in all types of weather

Duties:

  • Polishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools, and surfacing machines
  • Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved
  • Compacting materials using power vibrators to create level bases
  • Assist in creating a safe work environment by inspecting equipment, using required PPE, and keeping areas clear of debris
  • Perform additional duties as directed

Requirements:

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Knowledge of commercial construction industry
  • Knowledge of hand-held tools including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools
  • Willingness to travel

Duties:

  • Lead the continued development of a robust VDC department
  • Assist the project management team in identifying projects to use BIM coordination or prefabrication
  • Write BIM Execution Plans and define the BIM scope with company/client BIM standards on projects
  • Set up clash reports, rules and selection sets in Navisworks Manage
  • Set up/build Revit prefabrication families
  • Verify field conditions, develop details, produce prefabrication drawings based on field staff needs and to optimize self-performed labor
  • Assist field staff in acquiring, fixing and cleaning up Auto CAD files used for layout

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of BIM experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with both the software as well as construction details
  • Experience with Navisworks Manage, including the ability to setup clash reports, rules, and selection sets, and run clash meetings
  • Extensive experience/knowledge of Autodesk products such as Auto CAD, Revit (across multiple disciplines), Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, etc.
  • Ability to organize and effectively lead meetings with designers, subcontractors, and building owners
  • Effective communication, organization, and analytical skills

OFFICE

Based at our main headquarters in Plain, WI is a full-time staff of 34, consisting of executive management, project managers, client services, accounting staff, human resources, information technology, office management, and support staff.

YARD

There are 11 full-time workers in our equipment and distribution center, also in Plain. These specialists oversee heavy equipment mechanics, metal fabrication, carpentry, equipment management, and transportation.

FIELD

Kraemer Brothers typically employs approximately 300 personnel in the field, including project superintendents, field engineers, and various supervisors and laborers in our self-performed trades of concrete, steel erection, masonry, and carpentry.

Training

Whether it be our four-part, Foundations Safety Orientation Program, trade association safety seminars, OSHA compliance, or leadership training, Kraemer Brothers firmly believes an employee’s knowledge base is the biggest driver of behavior in the field. Giving each employee the tools to identify and correct hazards without engaging a safety professional or management perpetuates a proactive safety culture.

Weekly toolbox talks are also provided every Monday morning by a field manager to begin the work week focusing on safety, showing our workforce that safety ultimately comes first.
