CURRENT JOB OPENINGS
Duties:
- Initiate, administer, and secure subcontractors bids
- Write subcontractor/supplier contracts and purchase orders
- Create detailed construction takeoff
- Prepare schematic and component budgets
- Coordinate and manage all administrative requirement/permits/pre-planning and post job review meetings to ensure accordance with design, schedule, and budget
- Professionally represent the company to architects, owners, subcontractors, and other external contacts to maintain the company’s superior reputation
- Interact effectively with the company’s business development staff, field operations personnel, and productivity and planning managers to achieve successful construction project objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering OR 5 years’ experience
- Knowledge of construction administration
- Maintain organization while managing multiple projects
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
- Written and Verbal communication skills
Duties:
- Assist the Project Manager in scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring construction activities
- Prepare, organize, and maintain project files, contracts, and change orders
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients regarding schedules, updates, and project needs
- Track and document project progress, budgets, and timelines
- Assist in preparing bids, estimates, and project proposals
- Coordinate material orders and deliveries with vendors
- Help monitor compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Attend site visits and meetings as needed, taking notes and following up on action items
- Update project management software and spreadsheets with current project data
- Provide general administrative support to the project management team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- Previous administrative or project coordination experience (construction experience preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of construction terminology and processes is a plus

OFFICE
Based at our main headquarters in Plain, WI is a full-time staff of 34, consisting of executive management, project managers, client services, accounting staff, human resources, information technology, office management, and support staff.
YARD
There are 11 full-time workers in our equipment and distribution center, also in Plain. These specialists oversee heavy equipment mechanics, metal fabrication, carpentry, equipment management, and transportation.
FIELD
Kraemer Brothers typically employs approximately 300 personnel in the field, including project superintendents, field engineers, and various supervisors and laborers in our self-performed trades of concrete, steel erection, masonry, and carpentry.
Training
Whether it be our four-part, Foundations Safety Orientation Program, trade association safety seminars, OSHA compliance, or leadership training, Kraemer Brothers firmly believes an employee’s knowledge base is the biggest driver of behavior in the field. Giving each employee the tools to identify and correct hazards without engaging a safety professional or management perpetuates a proactive safety culture.
Weekly toolbox talks are also provided every Monday morning by a field manager to begin the work week focusing on safety, showing our workforce that safety ultimately comes first.
