KEPLER CENTER

Packaging & Shipping Facility

Named after the 17th Century astronomer and physicist, Johannes Kepler, Promega’s new Kepler Center was built to assemble, package, store and ship the company’s rapidly growing line of biotechnology products. The uniquely designed building houses 15 large, high-tech storage freezers and are equipped with VLMs (vertical lift modules) in a -20 C refrigerated space. The 126,000 square-foot center also includes offices, high-bay storage, a 35,000-square-foot mezzanine and many sustainable features in the design and construction such as masonry wall construction vs. steel cavity to enhance permanence. Kraemer Brothers also worked directly with the architects to construct the building for future growth-driven expansion.

More than doubling the current facility, Promega selected Kraemer Brothers in 2021 to construct a 196,000 square foot addition and 25,000 square foot remodel, which is currently is in progress.
